On August 3, a senior government delegation — including Speaker of the House Leo Cato, Minister of Finance Dennis Cornwall, Advisor to the Prime Minister Teddy St. Louis, and Chairman of the Grenada Investment Migration Authority (IMA) Richard Duncan OBE — visited the Grenada National Resort (GNR) to review the latest construction milestones.

“Prime Minister Dickon Mitchell has asked us to convey his firm support for the Grenada National Resort. The government is very satisfied with the progress of the project.” — said Minister of Finance Dennis Cornwall.

The GNR promises to set a new benchmark for luxury in the Caribbean, offering world-class hospitality combined with wellness and leisure opportunities amidst breathtaking natural surroundings. Standout elements will include 500 ocean-view hotel suites, an 18-hole golf course designed by renowned golf architect Robert Trent Jones II, a fully-serviced yacht marina, casino complex, and private villas nestled in the rainforest. The resort is due to open in 2027.

Richard Duncan OBE, Chairman of the Grenada Investment Migration Authority (IMA), said: “Thanks to the ongoing efforts of the IMA and visionary developers like HSG, who are committed to Grenada’s long-term success, we are confident that more investors will come to see the Spice Isle as a prime destination to build, grow, and thrive.”

Speaker of the House Leo Cato added: “The Grenada National Resort exemplifies the type of ambitious projects that are pivotal in shaping a prosperous economic future for Grenada. By supporting ventures like the GNR, we ensure long-lasting benefits that reach all Grenadians, contributing to widespread development and stability."

The government’s visit to the Grenada National Resort reinforces its confidence in the development’s progress. As construction advances and key milestones are achieved, the GNR project stands poised to attract global investment, create local employment, and further elevate Grenada’s position on the world stage.
